Great Plains COVID-19 Surveillance Dashboard

The Great Plains COVID-19 dashboard is updated on Thursdays!

Nebraska is no longer reporting county-level data as of 8/1/2021. GPTEC Is working on finding a solution, but for now, the Nebraska data is going to be left blank. Please note that until we find a solution the GPA totals are unreliable.

Great Plains Tribal Epidemiology Center is engaged in a variety of efforts to contribute to preparedness for, monitoring of, and response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), including:

  • Providing information, including culturally- and locally-tailored information when possible
  • Bringing federal, state, tribal, and other partners together to support coordination and alignment
  • Responding to Coronavirus-related requests for support

COVID-19 Vaccination Perception Assessment Report

GPTLHB and GPTEC conducted a survey with 639 American Indians and Alaska Natives across the Great Plains Area. Participants represented 18 different tribal communities across 4 states (North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska). The survey asked 64 questions ranging from an individual’s willingness to receive a COVID-19 vaccine to the people they trusted most when making informed decisions. We believe the results of this report can further guide health education and response to COVID-19 vaccination and hesitancy within the Great Plains Area.
